(HOSAKA One is more of a working title, but if I can't think of anything better, I'll call the deck so)
Here I start my build log, mainly some photos I take during the build. Later I will add a BOM and some random notes from time to time.
During the planning and after the first paper sketches I decided to build the cyberdeck modular. I have the basic shape of the deck, but first I build all the modules and at the end the body and the inner skeleton that will hold the modules.
The modular construction has some advantages:
I can change all parts quickly, no matter if display, battery or Raspberry etc.
Most parts can be replaced without opening the housing
if I include some blind covers, I can easily expand the hardware
many smaller parts make 3D printing easier and it is faster to try different versions
if I want to change something, I don't have to redesign the whole case

The cyberdeck will be expandable on the right side. There will be magnets in two places and a contact unit for expansion modules. Planned so far is a measuring unit, a HID module with keyboard and touchpad and an additional battery pack. Maybe I will add a sketch of it. :)
